Bununla birlikte ikinci olarak psikoterapi y\u00f6nteminden yararlan\u0131l\u0131r. Dayand\u0131\u011f\u0131 temel itibar\u0131yla di\u011fer psikoterapilerden farkl\u0131 olan bili\u015fsel terapinin tedavi uygulamalar\u0131 s\u00fcre\u00e7 ve i\u00e7erik olarak yap\u0131land\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu y\u00f6ntem, insanlar\u0131n d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncelerinin davran\u0131\u015flar\u0131n\u0131 nas\u0131l etkiledi\u011fini ve bu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncelerin nas\u0131l de\u011fi\u015ftirilebilece\u011fini \u00f6\u011fretir. KDT, insanlar\u0131n \u00f6z-y\u00f6netimlerini geli\u015ftirmeyi ve onlar\u0131n hayatlar\u0131nda istedikleri de\u011fi\u015fiklikleri yapmay\u0131 ama\u00e7lar. \u00d6zellikle depresyon, anksiyete, stres ve ba\u011f\u0131ml\u0131l\u0131k gibi ruhsal sa\u011fl\u0131k sorunlar\u0131n\u0131n tedavisinde etkili bir y\u00f6ntemdir. BDT, terapi seanslar\u0131 s\u0131ras\u0131nda terapistler ve dan\u0131\u015fan aras\u0131nda etkile\u015fim esas al\u0131r.
